Ringo Starr cancels NC show in opposition to HB2

April 13, 2016

North Carolina reports further HB2 related losses. The former Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr cancelled a show in Cary, North Carolina in protest over the state's discriminatory House Bill 2. The artist made a public statement that he was 'taking a stand against this hatred'. Losing this concert in Cary increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further. Scheduled for the Koka Booth Ampitheater, the loss of this concert is an unfortunate side effect of the discriminatory bill.
"I'm sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love."
