Record Store Day moved from Raleigh to Baltimore over HB2

April 18, 2016

North Carolina reports further HB2 related losses. Record Store Day pulls out of NC to protest House Bill 2. The event would have brought an estimated $190,000 to the state. Losing this event in Raleigh increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further.
"We look forward to showing off Raleigh and the true spirit of North Carolina after the repeal of HB2. "

- Carrie Colliton, Director of Marketing, Department of Record Stores, and co-founder of Record Store Day
Losing Record Store Day is just a painful reality in NC until HB2 is repealed.
