Pearl Jam cancels show, citing HB2

April 18, 2016

Things just keep getting worse for the state of NC over HB2. Pearl Jam cancelled their planned April 20th show in NC in opposition to HB2. The band released a statement calling the bill a 'despicable piece of legislation'. Losing this concert in Raleigh increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further. Scheduled for PNC Arena, the loss of this concert is an unfortunate side effect of the discriminatory bill.
"The HB2 law that was recently passed is a despicable piece of legislation that encourages discrimination against an entire group of American citizens. The practical implications are expansive and its negative impact upon basic human rights is profound."
