The National Organization for Victim Assistance cancels a training event in Charlotte in opposition to HB2
April 21, 2016
NC continues to lose money due to the controversial House Bill 2. The National Organization for Victim Assistance conference scheduled for August 2016 was cancelled due to HB2. Over 1,000 people were planning to attend this event.
Losing this training event in Charlotte increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further. Scheduled for the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel-Le Meridien, the loss of this training event is an unfortunate side effect of the discriminatory bill.
North Carolina continues to lose out from HB2; the loss of the National Organization for Victim Assistance training event just adds to the fallout.
