North Carolina bears the burden of more economic strain over HB2, the controversial "bathroom bill" law. The famed High Point market saw a drop in attendance related to HB2. Officals with the market stated that they expected hundreds if not thousands of customers to boycott the event over the controversial new law.
This is a huge loss for North Carolina, accounting for 17.81% of the total HB2 losses to date.
"We obviously were concerned and we expressed that in the statement about House Bill 2. We did some cancelations."
- Tom Conley, CEO of the High Point Market Authority
