Things just keep getting worse for the state of NC over HB2. Deutsche Bank cancelled their expansion in Cary, NC in response to HB2. The company had been planning to add 250 jobs, which will now go to Florida.
It's a massive loss for the southern state, accounting for 6.10% of the total HB2 losses to date.
"We take the commitment to building inclusive work environments seriously. We’re proud of our operations and employees in Cary and regret that as a result of this legislation we are unwilling to include North Carolina in our U.S. expansion plans for now. We very much hope to revisit our plans to grow this location in the near future."
- John Cryan, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank
