Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas cancel NC concerts in response to HB2

April 25, 2016

North Carolina bears the burden of more economic strain over HB2, the controversial "bathroom bill" law. Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas cancelled shows in Raleigh and Charlotte in opposition to North Carolina's controversial House Bill 2. The duo said in a statement that the new law was very disappointing. Losing these concerts in Raleigh and Charlotte increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further. Scheduled for PNC Arena and the Spectrum Center, there were 2 total concerts that are no longer happening due to HB2.
"After much thought and deliberation, we have decided to cancel our Honda Civic Tour: Future Now shows in Raleigh and Charlotte. One of our goals for the tour has always been to create an atmosphere where every single attendee feels equal, included, and accepted for who they are."
