Here's another unfortunate loss for North Carolina. The Community Transporation Association of America pulled their event from NC in protest over HB2. The organization was planning to bring over 1,000 people to NC, and will now be hosting its event in Baltimore.
Losing this convention in Raleigh increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further.
"It's very significant. They were using five of our hotels, and it was a four day convention, so not only are the hotels being impacted, but restaurants, retail establishments, transportation companies. Everyone is going to feel the heat on this."
- Denny Edwards, CEO, Greater Raleigh Conventions and Visitor's Bureau
