NC continues to lose money due to the controversial House Bill 2. Boston cancelled their planned North Carolina shows for 2016 in protest over HB2. They issued a statement supporting human rights, and condemning the bill.
Losing these concerts in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Greensboro increases the negative economic impact of HB2 even further. Scheduled for the Spectrum Center, White Oak Ampitheatre, and Red Hat Ampitheater, there were 3 total concerts that are no longer happening due to HB2.
"While the enjoyment of our fans is our central concern, and we have been looking forward to celebrating forty years of history performing for our listeners in North Carolina with spectacular live shows this spring, human rights are more important."
